On the following pages we present a short overview of our more than 150 years old company. Budapest Waterworks provides 2 million citizens with healthy potable water each day. Potable water is a special consumable, its existence is a basic condition of our lives, yet it is a natural resource which our planet has always been in lack of.
In the future, wars may even be fought for water, as solutions are becoming ever harder to find. Pure potable water, however, is a natural element that cannot be substituted. Attention must be paid to our water resources to provide suitable life conditions for our grandchildren and their grandchildren. In addition to providing drinking water, we have to manage, maintain, and develop a property worth of HUF 58 billion in order to ensure a secure future for our present and future customers.
