Bathing water testing

The laboratory of Fővárosi Vízművek will perform accredited sampling, water testing and evaluation activities on bathing water samples on external orders, as well.

When using swimming pools and jacuzzis disinfectants or additives (e.g. algaecides, flocculants, pH reducers, etc.) must be used in such a way that they do not cause harm to health.
For a safe and carefree use of the pool, it is recommended that you monitor and periodically check the microbiological and chemical components. You can find the group of parameters to be examined in general on our online customer service, by clicking here.
Depending on the water treatment procedure you are using, we will be happy to make further suggestions on the range of parameters to be tested.

Fővárosi Vízművek Zrt., with a history of more than 150 years, has accumulated significant experience in water testing and evaluating the results.
The laboratory is certified by the National Accreditation Authority in accordance with the requirements of the standard MSZ EN ISO / IEC 17025: 2018 (NAH-1-0681 / 2024). It continuously develops its instrumentation in accordance with the expectations of the age and good laboratory practice.
We continuously improve the quality of our sampling and testing activities and our quality management system, taking into account the expectations of our customers, in order to increase customer satisfaction.
In accordance with the requirement for confidentiality of the sampling and testing data, these data may only be accessed by authorized persons.
Sampling and testing activities are performed by an appropriate number of qualified personnel. Our employees receive regular training in both professional and quality management system areas. We verify the efficiency of their training and document the results.
By creating and maintaining the right environmental conditions, we ensure that external factors do not interfere with accurate and reliable work.
Staff remuneration is independent of the number and results of sampling and testing performed. The activities of our employees are free from any factors that could affect their impartial and independent technical judgment..

Sampling

You can request both accredited and non-accredited sampling.

If you are having a water test done not only for your own use, we recommend that you consult with the competent body or authority before ordering to make sure exactly what tests are required or whether accredited water sampling is required.

Accredited sampling: is performed by our laboratory for a fee, the date of which, based on your order, we will agree with you by phone.

Non-accredited sampling (by customer): is performed by our customer in a laboratory-prepared vessel or in your own vessel.

Issuance of sampling vessels and collection of samples: Monday-Thursday from 7.30 am to 13.00 pm.

Water test report

The original test report shall be completed within 7 working days of sampling (except in the case of Legionella testing: 15 working days).

If you order online, after having paid by bank card or bank transfer you can download the test report from the online surface.

If the report is not received personally by the person (name/company name) shown in the order, a power of attorney is also required, which you can download by clicking here.
In case of a company order, you will be requested to present a copy of the specimen signature in our customer service office.

Issuance of sampling vessels and collection of samples: Monday-Thursday from 7.30 am to 13.00 pm

You can access our laboratory:

On foot, by public transport: 104, 204 BKV and Volánbusz services from the Ungvári street stop. Pedestrian entrance at the small gate opposite the zebra crossing. Please use the gate phone.
By car: According to the map below, driving from Váci út into Rév utca, then on Rév utca right through the second junction, the laboratory car park is at the end of the road. The laboratory operates in the building by the car park.

Terms of service

Our laboratory will perform tests involving accredited sampling within a 30 km radius of Clark Ádám Square.
